GWPH was the stock ticker symbol for GW Pharmaceuticals plc, a British pharmaceutical company that specialized in the development of cannabinoid-based medicines. GW Pharmaceuticals was acquired by Jazz Pharmaceuticals in 2021, and the GWPH stock ticker symbol is no longer in use. GW Pharmaceuticals was best known for its drug Epidiolex, the first cannabis-derived drug to be approved by the FDA. Epidiolex is used to treat two rare forms of epilepsy.
