Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the main psychoactive compound in cannabis, and is responsible for the “high” that people feel when they use cannabis. THC is also found in hemp, but in very low concentrations.

THC interacts with the endocannabinoid system, which is a network of receptors and signaling molecules that are found throughout the body.

THC is used for both recreational and medicinal purposes. It is used recreationally to induce euphoria, relaxation, and altered perception. It is used medicinally to treat a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, nausea and vomiting, and multiple sclerosis.
